Since late January 2011 the Project Protect in Cambodia has a new operations center. Located in the border town of Poi Pet, in Banteay Meanchey province in the northwest, this new office covers another critical area in terms of child sexual exploitation and human trafficking is concerned.
With the financial support of ADM Capital Foundation, Project Protect has a new team that will perform in this area the same activities that take place in three other centers: investigation of suspects and the support of police intervention, legal protection of victims and the judicial proceedings against the abusers, and social assistance to victims.
