Asociación Protect /

Asociación Protect is a secular, pluralistic and non-governmental organization which campaigns for the respect and protection of children's rights in places where their physical and psychological integrity are at risk due to the presence of foreign sex offenders.

The association's objective is to follow-up and report child sex abuse carried out by foreigners in places where there is a large concentration of sexual crimes.

Protect advocates compliance with international legislation on the subject of child protection and promotes cooperation between countries and specialized institutions for bringing sex offenders to justice.

The organization has three courses of action:

- investigation of suspects and support for police intervention.
- legal defense of victims and legal advice on the processes against the abusers.
- social assistance to victims.

Asociación Protect currently works in Cambodia, Dominican Republic y Costa Rica.

Enrolled with the number 585703 in the Registro Nacional de Asociaciones del Ministerio del Interior, Group 1, Section 1. Also on the Registre d'Associacions del Departmento de Justicia of the Generalitat de Cataluña, with the No 22.695 since November 2, 1999. For the exercise of their activity, it’s also enrolled in Registro de Organizaciones no Gubernamentales de Desarrollo de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECI) under the No 548.
