Proyecto Protect /

Protect is a project of Global Humanitaria, working for the respect and fulfillment of the rights of children in those places where the presence of foreign sex offenders threat their physical and psychological integrity.

The goal of Protect is to pursue and report child sexual abuse carried out by foreigners in places where there’s a large concentration of sexual crimes.

This project advocates the implementation of international legislation on child protection and promotes cooperation among countries and institutions specialized in the pursuit and prosecution of sex offenders.

Protect has three main priorities:

- The investigation of suspects and support for police intervention.
- Legal protection of the victims and the judicial proceedings against the abusers.
- Social assistance for the victims.

Proyecto Protect currently works in Cambodia and Colombia.

For the exercise of their activity, it’s also enrolled in Registro de Organizaciones no Gubernamentales de Desarrollo de la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECI) under the No 548.
